Dr. Mustafa Abdulhusein is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who feels privileged to help those struggling with mental health issues. He understands the stigma surrounding mental health and works to ensure that his patients feel understood and supported during appointments. Building rapport and getting to know his patients beyond their diagnoses is central to his approach. Dr. Abdulhusein has experience treating patients in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, emergency departments, and medical hospitals.

He believes that the best outcomes are often achieved when medications and therapy are combined. While Dr. Abdulhusein enjoys treating all psychiatric illnesses, he has a particular interest in personality and substance use disorders, as well as treating mental health issues during and after pregnancy. His educational journey began with a degree in Biomedical Biology from Laurentian University, followed by medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, where he served as chief resident.
