Dr. Mustafa Abdulhusein is a board-certified adult psychiatrist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care tailored to each individual’s needs. Dr. Abdulhusein completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Biology at Laurentian University before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, where he served as Chief Resident. His broad clinical background includes experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, emergency psychiatry, and medical consultation services.
His treatment philosophy emphasizes a collaborative, patient-centered approach that integrates medication management with therapeutic support when appropriate. Dr. Abdulhusein takes the time to truly listen, ensuring that patients feel seen, heard, and respected throughout their care. He has a special interest in personality disorders, substance use disorders, and perinatal mental health, including conditions arising during and after pregnancy.
