Kathryn Berry
Kathryn Berry, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois, dedicated to guiding growth and fostering resilience through compassionate, evidence-based care. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, completing her MSW in 2014. Kathryn has several years of experience supporting adults with a wide range of mental health challenges, with a particular focus on affirming and empowering members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Kathryn helps clients develop emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and tailored to meet each client’s comfort level and readiness for change. She integrates DBT with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to ensure a flexible, effective, and holistic approach to care.
Kathryn understands that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and she strives to make the process approachable and empowering. In each session, she provides a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore challenges, identify strengths, and build meaningful strategies for lasting emotional growth and well-being.
